Scanning QR Codes
Learn how to scan QR codes using your device camera

Steps:

  1. Open the QRSnap app on your device
  2. Tap the "Scan" button on the home screen
  3. Point your camera at the QR code you want to scan
  4. The app will automatically detect and decode the QR code
  5. View the decoded content or follow the link
  6. For better results, ensure good lighting and hold the device steady

Tips:

  • You can also scan QR codes from images in your gallery
  • Batch scanning is available in Premium and Pro tiers
  • The app works offline for basic scanning
Generating QR Codes
Create custom QR codes for any purpose

Steps:

  1. Open QRSnap and tap "Generate" or the "+" button
  2. Select the type of QR code you want to create (URL, Text, Contact, WiFi, etc.)
  3. Fill in the required information for your QR code type
  4. For location-based QR codes, use the map picker to select coordinates
  5. Preview your QR code in real-time
  6. Tap "Save" to store your QR code

Tips:

  • You can generate multiple QR codes and organize them in folders
  • All QR codes are stored locally on your device
  • Add icons to QR codes using the customization options
Exporting QR Codes (Pro Only)
Export your QR codes in multiple formats (Pro tier required)

Steps:

  1. Ensure you have Pro tier subscription
  2. Open the export menu from the main screen
  3. Select your preferred export format:
  4. • CSV - Export as spreadsheet data
  5. • JSON - Export as structured data
  6. • Images ZIP - Export all QR code images as ZIP archive
  7. • Parsed Text - Export as plain text file
  8. Choose the location to save the exported file
  9. The file will be saved locally on your device

Tips:

  • All export features are Pro tier only
  • Exports are stored locally - no cloud sync
  • You can restore exported data using the restore feature
Sharing QR Codes
Share your QR codes with others

Steps:

  1. Open the QR code you want to share
  2. Tap the "Share" button (usually an icon with three dots or share symbol)
  3. Choose your sharing method:
  4. • Share QR code image
  5. • Copy to clipboard
  6. Select the app or contact you want to share with
  7. The recipient will receive your QR code

Tips:

  • You can share multiple QR codes at once
  • Sharing as image preserves all customizations
  • All QR codes are stored locally on your device

Steps:

  1. All QR codes are stored locally on your device
  2. No data is transmitted to external servers without your permission
  3. The app includes security features to protect you:
  4. • URL reputation checking (Pro tier)
  5. • Email domain validation (Pro tier)
  6. • Safe scanning warnings
  7. Review app permissions in your device settings
  8. Use the privacy settings to control data sharing

Tips:

  • Camera permission is required for scanning
  • Storage permission is needed to save QR codes
  • Network permission is optional and only used for security checks
  • You can revoke permissions at any time in device settings
App Permissions
Manage what QRSnap can access on your device

Steps:

  1. Go to your device Settings
  2. Navigate to Apps → QRSnap → Permissions
  3. Review and manage the following permissions:
  4. • Camera: Required for scanning QR codes
  5. • Storage/Photos: Needed to save and access QR codes
  6. • Location: Optional, used for location-based QR codes
  7. • Network: Optional, used for security features
  8. Enable or disable permissions as needed
  9. The app will work with minimal permissions for basic features

Tips:

  • Camera permission is essential for the app to function
  • You can still generate QR codes without storage permission
  • Location permission is only needed for location QR code types
  • Network permission is optional and only for Pro features
