# QR Snap

> Android QR and barcode app: scan, create, check links, export, backup, share, and run a small Point of Sale. Data stays on the device.

QR Snap is a Flutter app from Ars Technology (package com.ars.qr_snap). You scan QR codes and barcodes with the camera or from gallery images, generate 14+ code types, and act on the result (open, call, save contact, add event, copy, share). URL safety checks and unlimited email-domain (MX) validation sit on the scan result. Lifetime Unlock adds gallery batch scan, local backup and restore, export, share, and on-device Point of Sale. URL credit packs add extra safety checks.

- Failed or inconclusive checks do not consume credits
- Email MX validation is unlimited and does not use URL credits
- Results: safe, risk, or unavailable, in plain language

## Export, backup, restore, share (Lifetime Unlock)

- Export CSV, JSON, image ZIP, and parsed text as shown in-app
- Local backup and restore on the device
- Share flows to other apps
- No cloud sync of codes

## Point of Sale (Lifetime Unlock)

## Privacy

- No account required
- Anonymous installation ID for entitlements and the credit wallet
- History and created codes stay on the device (Hive)
- No cloud sync
- For a URL check, only what is needed for the check is sent to the Cloudflare Worker backend
- No sale of scan contents for advertising profiles
